Like the ninja the Christian has access to an extremely effective weapon. The weapon we use is not for killing and maming humans or animals though. It is for pulling down strong fortresses in the spirit realm and for the combat of spiritual wickidness in high places.
Like the ninja, the christian moves like the wind and no one knows his coming or his going. This we should know as the Christ who we try to imitate - Jesus the Christ said: "If a man is led by the Spirit, he is like the wind. No one knows where he comes from nor where he is going."
Of course a christian doesn't start out knowing how to use his weapon, nor how to be like the wind. These skills must be learned. To do this a beginner should spend time serving a more experienced ninja. Over a handful of years (or more) the ninja's wisdom grows.
As our subjects wisdom grows so too his sensitivity to the Spirit of God. As he becomes more sensitive so too he learns to obey the true commander and so he moves as directed by the Spirit of God.
As this obedience grows - the sensitivity to direction becomes more acute and the Ninja becomes like the wind. No one knows where he comes from, nor his purpose, nor where he is going to next.
Our ninja becomes like Sun-Tsu's formless force.
"The ultimate skill is to take up a position where you are formless. If you are formless, the most penetrating spies will not be able to discern you, or the wisest counsels will not be able to do calculations against you." http://www.sonshi.com/sun6.html [SUN-TZU - THE ART OF WAR]
The Ninja-Christian who is like this has understood how to listen to the Spirit.
It is unnatural for Christ followers to form herds once they have learned to listen to the still small voice. For this reason many suspect that "leaders" form great flocks of the deaf for the power such command appears to give. However as has been so declaired via prophets: the Lord God declairs "I am against you."
This is the challenge for every would-be follower of Christ - to become like the wind, to be formless as a vapour and to move only to the sound of the voice of the Spirit of God.
A man who appears out of step with his fellows marches to the beat of a different drum.
Find your drum.
